Capital District Merit Badge “Summer School” 2008

Dear Boy Scouts and Scout Leaders:

The revised schedule for the 2008 Merit Badge "Summer School" is shown below. Although we have already started class sessions, there is still time to join the classes. A number of you have incomplete merit badges from last year, and I would encourage you to complete the requirements. I will work with anyone that wants to do this. For those who didn't finish merit badges, I am returning your "blue cards" and a sheet that shows you exactly what you have passed off and what you still need to do. I will keep an identical sheet for my records.

The revised schedule below replaces the earlier schedule that was on the web site and we will follow it exactly. (It is largely the same as the earlier schedule but with added information and activities).

If you have any questions, please call me. If I'm not home just leave a message. But you don't need to let me know that you're coming - just show up. Below is a map and information.

Purpose? To help scouts earn merit badges for advancement, learning and fun!
It is to supplement and assist, NOT replace, the Scout's regular troop merit badge program.
Where? Most sessions are held at 4487 Bloom St. (see map below)
Who? Counselor - Ormand E. Howell (retired teacher). All Scouts are welcome.
Expectations?
- Parents have Scouts there by 9:00 AM and picked up on time at 10:30 AM.
- Scouts do the necessary requirements.
- Scouts exhibit expected Scout behavior
Missed Sessions? If a Scout misses sessions due to family vacations/trips, illness or Scout Camp, make-up sessions can be arranged.
Electives? At least 2 high-interest electives will be offered and information will be sent home with the Scouts when ready.
